The American Residential Services corporate office has sponsored and participated in the YMCA Corporate Games for the second year in a row. The YMCA of Memphis holds this event once a year to raise money for different community programs and it is also a team event that combines healthy living and a little healthy competition among local organizations. In 2014, the programs benefiting from this event are Y-READ (summer reading program), Y-CAP (community program for at-risk youth), and the Summer Camp and Afterschool Scholarship programs.

Halprin responded to a call in an apartment complex of an upset man. The man resisted the officer’s efforts to calm him, hitting and scratching the officer. Resisting arrest the man struck the officer several times.
