Sewer Line Video Inspection
Until relatively recently, there wasn't a reliable way to check for problems in a sewer line without costly and time-consuming excavations that weren't guaranteed to find the problem, if there was indeed a problem. With modern technology, we can now snake a camera through your sewer lines without digging. If you're experiencing bubbling faucets or fixtures, or water backing up from your drains, it may be time to schedule a sewer line video inspection.

Spme of the most common causes of sewer line blockage are tree root intrusion into the pipes, collapse of pipes due to shifting ground and pipe deterioration, and the build-up of grease and debris.
A clogged sewer line can only be cleared by a professional, especially in cases of pipes breaking down or roots penetrating the sewer pipes. Older clay pipes are especially vulnerable to tree roots. Pipes can also buckle or strain under shifting soil or due to heat expansion, leading to water backing up into your house. And if a pipe shifts entirely, gravity can't act on the water in the pipe causing further issues.
Water and Sewer Line Repair and Replacement
Whether your sewer or water line needs a simple repair or replacement depends on the extent of the damage, as seen by a video inspection. It can be hard to estimate exactly what the job is without that professional assessment.
One type of repair is to line the existing pipe with fiberglass, a process known as pipe lining. This can also help prevent future build-up and pipe breakage.
While hard to say for every case, we typically prefer trenchless sewer line repair. A process called pipe bursting can help avoid expensive and unsightly digs in your yard. With pipe bursting, the old pipe is simultaneously broken apart and replaced as a new, stronger pipe is run through the old damaged pipe.
