I had a very competent Technician come to my home, and could atleast diagnose what the air issue was. Hopefully if I trust them to replace my unit, this company will be Honorable. I will post update.

Eric did a great job of doing what he came out to do: getting our A/C to run again. He cleaned out the clogged pipe and then found the source of the electrical problem: an electrocuted SNAKE! He replaced the connector that the snake had shorted out.
